Oxywater F A Q's
Frequently Asked Questions

How can I know that I'm sufficiently oxygenating my water?

You can buy a dissolved oxygen meter to test your water, but it's not necessary.  We have repeatedly tested the system and the process and always get the same results.  As long as your system is functional, you can be sure you're charging your water to a minimum of over a 100% increase.

Alternatively, you can see the generation of oxygen in your unit, by not turning on your pump. Simply add Catalase to the peroxide and just "swirl" (not shake) the combined solution. Within a few minutes you'll see the pure oxygen bubbling out through the aerator into your water.

I've seen an expensive blender-type system.  Would that be better?

Actually, it's not as good.  That system oxygenates by simply "whipping" air, not oxygen, into the water.  Since the air contains some oxygen, that's what you get - some.  It does not infuse pure oxygen into the water, only air.

I've seen drops for sale that are supposed to oxygenate water.  Are these as good?

Oxygen has volume.  How much volume can one get from two, tiny drops?  Further; what keeps the oxygen in the bottle once it's opened?

How long will my oxycharged water hold its oxygen?

Our tests have shown that oxycharged water will hold its oxygen level up to 48 hours if kept in a refrigerated, closed container.  After that, the oxygen content begins to decline.

Can I use stronger peroxide?

The 3% peroxide available at drug and grocery stores is the ONLY kind that should be used.  Stronger concentrations require special handling and are NOT suitable for the Oxygen Generator

Can I give oxycharged water to my pets?

By all means!  Air-breathing animals have the same needs for oxygen as we do!

Can I use the oxycharged water for watering my plants?

People pay to have their lawns aerated.  Why?  Because it improves the health of their lawns.  Again, by all means, yes!

How can I test the quality and safety of my drinking water?

While you're improving your water's oxygen content with the Oxygen  Generator you may want to test the quality of the water as well. We have tested our home tap water, the bottled water that is home delivered, as well as the purchased bottled water from the store, to be sure it was worth oxycharging.

We have Watersafe®; All-in-One Drinking Water test kits in stock so you can save on additional shipping by ordering them along with other items.

What is catalase?

Catalase is an enzyme that converts hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.

Should I use oxygenated water as a mouthwash?

We had a doctor purchase one to put oxygenated water into his wife's Waterpick to aid in preventing infection and rejection of her dental implants.

Can I freeze water that I've oxygenated?

Yes!  WATER retains it's oxygen content when frozen.  You can make oxygenated ice cubes for your iced tea and lemonade, and you can freeze oxygenated water in your personal or sports water bottles.
