HYPNOSIS - HYPNOTHERAPY
UPDATE - BLOG - •

SEPTEMBER MONTHLY UPDATE

With hurricane scares bringing up past losses in people’s lives and stories of their survival after loss, we have some really nice testimonials people took the time to write. In last month’s update we mentioned the seminar participate who attended a seminar on overcoming insomnia and got additional advantage. His recurring shingle outbreak literally stopped hurting and disappeared. We returned home to his sending his statement in writing. His story is in the Release Pain Section of our website. We also heard from our former student who needed motivation to exercise. She not only is exercising on a schedule, but really enjoying it. She even wrote that she played volleyball with her grandchildren, and this was certainly a new adventure for her. Also, please read the wonderful testimonial of Dorothy O’Bara. Mrs. O’Bara works for UAB in Birmingham, Alabama, and had been tolerating pain for many months. She came for a reason other than pain and left pain-free. She literally walked back to her UAB office after the session. Read her story in the Release Pain Section of our website. We certainly appreciate the time these people took to share their stories. They are practicing the Law of Gratitude and we hope they will reap more and more goodness into their lives.

Practicing Gratitude will alter situations and lives . With Memorial Day being in September and the Remembrance of September 11 th, we want to thank some in our lives also. As you listen to this Powerpoint Musical with pictures, the music will guide you . We want to practice Gratitude for circumstance and people in our lives expressed by this music. Visually, one of the first pictures which touched me was the young man receiving “laying on of hands”. It brought back a powerful memory for me. As a young hospice social worker just back from studying with Dr. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, I went to a home where the father of the home lay dying. They lived in the richest section of Houston, River Oaks, but that could not save him. The Episcopal Priest had come to minister to the family and to “those providing assistance to the family”. I had already started wondering if I was up to the challenge of this work and what hospice work would involve. The priest called me “One of the shepherds of “ HIS” flock” as he prayed to GOD for my well-being and my guidance. He touched me right where the picture shows the young soldier being touched. I felt a powerful vibration which I know helped me continue . I am Grateful for that experience.

The lone-standing Rose is next. I am grateful for the friendship of Rose McGreevy who is in Heaven now and Rose Dawn in Houston.

The song goes on to mentioned “from the plains of Minnesota” to the “Hills of Tennessee”. These words brought back our sitting with a couple from Minnesota at a banquet at the National Guild. It was a special meeting because they had stories we needed to hear at just the right time for us to hear them. As the night became enjoyable from the reliving of some of their experiences, all of us became childlike and we shared all the desserts on the table since the huge table had only the four of us enjoying the night with story and companionship. A happy memory of a brief time with people we met through a chance meeting with information we needed to hear. I am Grateful for that experience.

The “Hills of Tennessee” brings memory of a former student who lived in Florida and came to take our classes. Her law enforcement husband has now retired and they live in a beautiful pastoral environment in Tennessee. Just this last convention, she wanted to purchase the 3 CD set called Sleep Like a Baby. She was told at the National Guild Table that we did not bring that CD set. She would not give up because we had directed her to the table, and she found that our CD’s were hidden under an announcement. Not only did she have the people manning the table bring them out from under that announcement, but she got us prime position so that others could see the CD’s. We saw her several times in passing during the convention. She said “I go back periodically and make sure your wares are not hidden under a bushel.” We are grateful for the friendship of Pauline Petsel.

When Texas is mentioned in the song, we have such gratitude. Gratitude for family and friends still in the great state of Texas. We are grateful for all our memories of Texas and the courage the name represents.

Detroit is mentioned next with a beautiful skyline which looks as beautiful as the Houston skyline shown right after Detroit. Immediately Dr. Jerome Beacham comes to mind. Till the day I die, I will be grateful to Dr. Beacham. He stood up for right-action on my behalf when encroachers were going to steal the creative effort which took me two years to gather ( collecting drawings and my writing), and Dr. Martin one year of graphic work to complete. Dr. Beacham could have easily feigned not knowing what to do. He could have made some remark that others have made about “professionals plagiarize all the time.” He could have taken action which would have been more politically to his advantage. However, as former law enforcement and an active Buffalo Soldier, he did what was RIGHT. I am very grateful for the character and courage of this fine man! May his act of courage return to him ten-fold.

New York is mentioned next and we are very grateful for the instruction regarding web sites along with the friendship of Carol Denicker of Long Island, New York. LA comes up next and it immediately brought to mind an experience where we were ripped off of our time, instruction, effort, and, of course, money by a “sponsoring” group. However, it helped us not repeat the Fowlers Snare by our being more alert “to signs” after that experience. We are Grateful for being wiser and more protected now.

The theme of freedom with the love and support of family/friends is a powerful theme. The following link will take you to a picture which shows the end of a life without the love/support of friends/family. May it stir in those viewing, the same humanity the 92 year old female volunteer contributes to the end of a life. View this picture.

This month brought opportunity to incorporate art by using original art to gather information without façade . Also, numerous examples of people investing in art were in the news. The Gees Bend Quilt Mural Trail mentioned last month was in the news with the artist completing it. Troy, Alabama, is investing in an art museum for it’s citizens. The first free showing will be Andy Warhol’s exhibit for a month. Birmingham, Alabama, has just sponsored an out-door Artwalk.

Art speaks directly to and from the subconscious. In times of stress or scare, society reverberates to the saving of the culture’s art as a soul comfort. The following drawings with recommendation from their interpretation were done by a family with the recommendation for the family afterwards. The cartoon from the funny paper leads into their actual drawings. It shows a teenager describing the emotions of being a teenager and how the younger sibling is enthralled by the story of the older sibling. (Younger ones imitating and being influenced by the older is a theme in family all the time). View the funnies.

Go now to the tree drawing and family drawing section of our website to see what the art of the children told about the family . The drawings literally gave the blueprint to moving the family forward to better communication with a better way of life.

A tremendous amount of time was spent this month adding the pictures of recent graduates of The PATH Foundation in Spring, Texas. Many have committed themselves to the Advanced Instruction by completing 300 hours. Melodie Steele is turning out competent hypnotists/hypnotherapists who are improving their own lives by working on self in the classes for a year, and assisting others by their knowledge with commitment to mankind. Please view their pictures.

Hope all are living a Wonder-filled Life!
